Resolve your family law legal issues in a positive, compassionate environment.
Elisabeth enjoys family law because it gives her the chance to truly make a difference in people’s lives. Elisabeth is a logical and facts-oriented person. This is especially helpful in family law, as legal proceedings involving one's family is an emotional time. The important details are sometimes lost in the moment if you do not have an advocate that is paying attention to the facts that will help win your case.
Elisabeth is professional and focused on results, both in the courtroom and when negotiating with the other side. She wants her clients to be happy and works very hard to assist them in achieving their desired outcome. Further, she strives to ensure that her clients understand the applicable statutory and case law as well as all their options, so that they can make informed decisions and work with her as a team throughout the course of their case. As a parent, Elisabeth understands how very important custody and placement matters are to her clients and can empathize with how they are feeling as their case progresses. In addition to the practice areas noted below, Elisabeth also accepts Guardian ad Litem and Parent Coordinator appointments.
Elisabeth graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2013. She worked for Holevoet & Hanna until December 2016. From December 2016 until April 2019, she was employed by Cordell & Cordell. She joined Musial & Friedrich in April of 2019.
Elisabeth believes that it is important to give back to her community, and volunteers monthly for the Free Family Law Clinic at the Vera Court Neighborhood Center in Madison. The monthly clinic, which takes place on the second Thursday of each month, serves low-income individuals, providing a valuable service for people that need assistance but can’t otherwise afford to hire an attorney. The State Bar of Wisconsin did a feature on her pro bono work in June of 2013, which can be reviewed at https://www.wisbar.org/NewsPublications/Pages/General-Article.aspx?ArticleID=27771.
When she is not working, Elisabeth enjoys spinning, gardening, reading, tending to her flock of chickens, and watching the Packers while sampling craft beers with her sister. She has been known to raise the random orphan squirrel or pick up a stray cat (or two) from the side of the road and is doing an excellent job of teaching her son that life is better with more animals in it.
